To be eligible to apply, you must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • An Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Earning $25,000 before tax or more per year
  • Be in steady employment or self employed
  • Have a current Drivers Licence, Passport or Medicare Card
  • NOT declared bankrupt or in a debt agreement
  • Centrelink is NOT your sole or primary source of income
  • Holding a current Driver’s License, Passport or Medicare Card (for ID Check)

All persons subject to suitability and affordability assessment

You can borrow any amount from $5,000 to $64,000. The maximum you can borrow if you are aged 18-21 years is $5,000. Subject to suitability and your requirements and objectives.

You can select to make repayments fortnightly or monthly by direct debit.

Repayment plans are normally over 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 or 72 months or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 years. However, you have the flexibility to pay your payment plan off faster or at any time with no penalties or additional charges.

The funds can be used to pay for your cosmetic, medical, and dental related costs. The funds can be used for both elective procedures and procedures covered by Medicare and your private health fund where there is a gap payment. We can pay you directly or with your permission, your doctor or dentist directly on your behalf saving you the hassle.

When we pay your doctor or dentist it will show as a payment on your account which you can login and see at any time.

We use the power of technology to ensure we can be as responsive as possible. This allows us to streamline the assessment process, so you have an answer back normally the same, or next business day. We generally don’t require your payslips or tax returns – unless self-employed.

As part of completing your application we ask you for your monthly living expenses (or your monthly household living expenses if you are married or in a de facto relationship). This information assists us to determine whether a Medezi referred Payment Plan is suitable for you as it is important to us that we don’t put you and your family in a hardship situation. To help you calculate what should be included in your monthly living expenses we have prepared a guide that you can download. This is a guide only. The interest rates applicable to your payment plan will depend on our credit assessment of your application detailed below and are subject to change without notice. You will receive your personalised rate once you receive a detailed quote and the rate quote will be the basis of your loan application. *Comparison rates are based on a $30,000 unsecured loan over 5 years.

No. We believe you should have the flexibility to make one off payments at any time without incurring penalties. One off payment can be made by BPAY. If you wish to pay off your payment plan in full, please email us and request a payout figure.

Yes, each applicant will need to complete and submit their details. We will assess this as a joint application and both of you will need to sign the agreements. Joint borrowers can only be partners or parents. In the case of parent’s children must be under the age of 25 years. In the case of your partner, you must be married or in a de-facto relationship with evidence that you reside at the same address.

Please let us know as soon as you think you will have a problem paying any of your future payments. We will try and work with you to get you back on track. We don’t have a penalty interest rate as we believe it is best to work together to get you over any hurdles you may encounter.

Typically, applications are 100% online and using technology we can access 6 months’ worth of bank records to assess your capacity to afford repayments.  We may need to contact your payroll department to verify your employment status. Don’t worry – we won’t disclose any personal information to them about you or the purpose of the loan and it is not possible for anyone at Medezi to see or access your online banking password (ever).

We are a responsible lender, and we wish to ensure that you can afford your repayments. A copy of 90 days of your most recent bank statements assists us to verify this. This can be done with our trusted partner https://www.illion.com.au/ Rest assured it is not possible for anyone at Medezi to see or access your online banking password.

Once you have submitted your application, we will get back to you with a decision within 60 minutes. Subject to having all the required information and during NSW normal business hours. If conditionally approved, we will still need to verify your income by requesting a copy of 90 days of your most recent bank statements. This is all done online within seconds with our trusted partner https://www.illion.com.au/ Final approval is subject to Medezi ’s lending partner/s assessment criteria and conditional on you supplying all necessary supporting documents and proof of identity.

We cover most procedures assuming your doctor or dentist or health practitioner is appropriately qualified and properly registered to practice in Australia. All surgery carries risk, and the patient must research their practitioner, the procedure, and the suitability for them, and consider the risks and any complication that may arise. Medezi does not warrant or is not associated with the quality of any practice or surgeon, and the patient must undertake their own careful research.

In some cases, we may finance overseas procedures. However before applying email us with your contact details and good time to chat and we will call you to discuss. Once you have been approved you have 90 days to tell us who to pay. You can request a payment to be made at any time by logging into your account. Click on the link below for detailed instructions How to make Payment Requests Payment requests are processed same day if received before 12pm.

Download and complete the Direct Debit Request Form here ensuring you insert your loan account number and provide your correct BSB and bank account number. If it is a joint bank account, please ensure it is signed by all account holders. Once complete scan (or take a photo with your smartphone) and email the signed Form to us at customercare@medezi.com.au Please allow a minimum of 5 days for us to process the change. We will email you to confirm the change has been made.
